How the Trust began.
Shri Subhash Ganpat Mhatre's wish to help others inspired the Trust's work in community care.
Shri Subhash Ganpat Mhatre, whose vision inspired the Trust.
The wish to help others
Shri Subhash Ganpat Mhatre held a secure job at Godrej before earning his living as an auto-rickshaw driver. His days on the road could stretch to sixteen hours. He saved with the hope of doing something useful for people in need.
That wish became the starting point for a charitable trust focused on practical help for the community.
From an idea to community work
On 9 February 2023, Shri Rajesh Subhash Mhatre established Kailashnath Mahadev Charitable Trust to turn that purpose into organised community work in Maharashtra.
Today, we carry that purpose into medical camps and support for children's education. We also help with food and household essentials when people face a difficult time. We take care with every contribution and treat the people who come to us for help with respect.
At home in Maharashtra We listen to local people, work with schools and plan activities around community needs.
How we treat people matters.
Give people time
We listen to what someone needs before deciding how we can help.
Respect every contribution
Whether someone gives money, supplies or their time, we want it to be put to good use.
Make it easier to ask
Asking for help can be difficult. We want people to feel welcome and treated with respect.
What that looks like in practice.
Our work brings us into medical camps, classrooms and conversations with people who need support.
